I have had Tietze for eight weeks now with a lot of pain while breathing in, coughing etc. until about five days ago when my doctor suggested eliminating all carbs that I can. I lost the six pounds of water weight that I had gained since this ordeal started ( I am 5 7 and now weigh 135 lbs) and the pain has subsided substantially. My doctor had recommended computer aided intercostal nerve blocks to stop the pain cycle. Can the computer identify the affected nerves even though the pain is not as bad because of the low carb diet. I normally eat a lot of fruit and this no fruit, no sugar, no flour, no bread, pasta or any processed food gets old pretty fast and I don t know how long I can stick to it. Can the nerves still be identified and blocked in the procedure? When I start eating normally again, will the ribs start hurting again?
