What Is The Treatment For Painful Sores On My Scalp And Numbness In Fingertips?

I have recently started to get these terribly painful sores on my scalp. They are accompanied by lumps all over my head that feel huge and warm. Also they seep avery sticky watery fluid that when i touch it , it numbs my fingertips. I had this once before in 2011 and not one Dr. could figure out what it was.I suffered for 1 year and then it just went away

Hi,

After reading your history it appears to be the problem of "folliculitis" with secondary infection.

It is a common process due to infection and inflammation of the hair root and the oil glands. You must see a dermatologist to rule out any internal cause at the area.

For the time being period you to apply plain antibacterial cream such as fusidic acid or mupirocin (latest is retapamulin) and to take pain killer tablet by mouth for reducing the intensity of pain and redness.
The only precaution you must follow is not to touch, pinch pop or squeeze any of them other wise it can get infected and can cause complications.

Take care.
