What Is The Treatment For Painful Swelling On Leg?
I got kneed very hard during a soccer game on the top part of my shin, right below the knee. The swelling took up the left side of my leg. It is very painful to the touch and difficult to make any movements. I have been icing and inclining my leg but the spot where I got hit is numb to the touch.

I can understand your problem, the knee joint swelling is likely if I would be your doctor then I would treat your condition with the following treatment,
1) Tab Diclofenac 50 mg sustain release tab once in day
2) Tab Acetaminophen three time in day
Never bend the knee joint beyond 80 degree, better to wear the knee brace, if this fails to response then this has to be investigated, hope this information helps you, take care and have nice day.

The description suggests that you sustained a soft tissue hematoma as the xrays are negative for fracture.
These hematomas usually resolves spontaneously within 3 -4 weeks
Keep intemittent hot fomentation and an elastic pressure bandage around the swelling.
Transient numbness or tingling is commonly felt at the site of injury and is a normal finding which recovers over a period of time.
