What Is The Treatment For Pressure And Congestion In Sinus?

Hi. I have been suffering for some time now with sinus pressure and congestion when I sleep. I always seems to affect my left side. It will be completely blocked and I have to lay on my right side to let is drain and relieve the pressure. This happens almost every night and takes until around 2:30 - 3:00 in the morning before it wakes me up. My ENT had me allergy tested with negative results. He is now recommending a neurologist.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Since you have one sided sinus congestion and related problems I would suggest you the following.
Get CT scan of the sinuses.
Take second opinion
Of another ENT Surgeon for clinical evaluation, examination and further investigation.
You need a course of local decongestant at night.
Steam inhalation.
Oral decongestant and steroids
This should help you.
It is possible that you may need corrective surgery for septal deviation and/ or turbinate reduction.
I find this answer helpful
