What Is The Treatment For Severe UTI And Depression At The Age Of 73?
my dad is 73 yrs. old and was put in hospital with uti & severe depression he was doing crazy things & dont remember any of it he was only on antibiotics 3 days & they sent him home with no antibitics my concern is that he may not be over it yet what do I need to request from family doctor to make sure he is completely over the infection??
Hi, I agree, 3 days of antibiotics is possibly not enough. I suggest you see your doctor and ask for further urine and blood tests. Urine for microscopy, culture and sensitivity. Blood for white cell count and CRP. Also, you could check his temperature. Hope this helps. Regards, Dr K A Pottinger
