What Is The Treatment For Severe Pain Due To Blockage In A 70 Year Old?

Thank you. I have had many a&e visits in awful pain due to blockage, and then a few days on the ward.please do you think if I smoothie veg etc, I could solve the problem? From susan hulbert Pi I have had an ileostomy for 25 yrs , and im 70 yrs old.

Based on your query, my opinion is as follows.
1. Blockage is due to inadequate chewing possibly.
2. Good chewing along with soft diet, could make it smoother.
3. Also adequate hydration will be helpful.
4. If chewing is difficult, take soft diet along with bulk forming agents to improve easy passage. Also exercise and bowel training will be helpful.
