hello sir i m using melacare for 4 years n now i m suffering frm its isdeeffedcts my face all the time goes red n its gave me too much complex plzzzzzzz doctor now i wanna discontinue using it but i know my skin will grow darker if i stop using soo plzzzzzzzz doctor siggest me how to maintain my beauty

Hello,

I understand your concern for the darkening of the skin.

I am really surprised to know that you are using melacare cream form last 4 years!!! Melacare is a steroid based cream which contains a medium potency steroid mometasone in it. On long term self use it can cause hair growth and thinning of skin along with innumerable steroidal side effects.

I suggest you to immediately stop the cream and meet a dermatologist. It would be very difficult for you to get rid of the abuse and side effects of the cream but with proper treatment and patience you would get a normal look of skin as wells as better skin.

In my patients I use a tapering drug and steroid sparing agents to get away form the steroid side effects and then I sue skin lightening agents.

I additionally suggest to do best sun protection as is quite important.
