What Is The Treatment For Small Bumps Above The Lips?

my 2 yr old has about 4 small bumps above his lips, not on the lips. it started with one bump about 3 to 4 months ago and has increased since. our pediatrician thought it was probably viral and may take up to an year or so to go away. However, is there any remedies to help these bumps go away and stop spreading more?

Hi,

The bumps on area above lip may be molluscum contagiosum most probably. However, after consulting the dermatologist, the diagnosis may be confirmed.

Molluscum contagiosum is a viral infection. Electro cautery or cryotherapy may be done under local anaesthesia.

The other method to treat is chemical cautery..salicylic acid solution 12% may be applied on the lesions.

I hope this would help you.

Thanks.
