What Is The Treatment For Small Red Patches On Neck Below Ears?

Just recovered from atopic, spongiatic abd perioral dermatitis outbreak over 2/3 or my body. Now have small red patches on neck below ears when I lay on a pillow. How can I treat this? Part of prevention of return of my dermatitis is moisturizing with cream. Is cream on creases of my neck below my ear causing the itchy redness?

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hi,

It may be contact allergic dermatitis. Consult the dermatologist for the perfect diagnosis and proper treatment. I would recommend to take a tapering course of oral steroid and antihistaminics like levocetirizine. And apply mild steroid cream. Avoid contact with suspected allergens like soap, housedust, housedust mite,perfume,grass,detergents,wool...etc
Avoid itch producing food like fish, eggs, nuts, brinjal, banana, soya, fermented food..etc. Avoid worries, anxiety and tension.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ilyas Patel,
