What Is The Treatment For Sore Throat , Nasal Congestion And Headache?
I have been sick for nearly 2 weeks. What started as a sore throat has turned into a persistent cough, nasal congestion, and a near constant headache which has made me sensitive to light and sound. My sore throat went away after a few days but my neck still feels swollen and tender, and along with these other symptoms It s making it difficult to sleep. Is this just a cold I should wait out or should I go to the doctor?
Noted your history of being sick for hte last 2 weeks with sore throat, nasal congestion and headache. 2 weeks is a long time to suffer and may indicate more towards bacterial infection as viral ones usually takes 3 to 5 days of natural cure unless there is recurrent exposure to people with viral fever. Hence I would advise you teh following: Consult your Doctor for clinical evalaution, examiantion and investigations of throat swab, tests of blood and as needed. You will be started on prescription based antibiotics, anti-inflammatory medicines, oral and topical nasal decongestants. Take Betadine gargles. Multivitamins and mineral. Bed rest. Complete the courses.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
