What Is The Treatment For Sore Throat?

My throat has been sore for a few days, not terribly bad but noticable. My neck is also stiff and my tongue feels thick. I feel like my jaw muscles are tight - and almost as if my jaw gets tired if I do a lot of talking or chewing. No fever, nothing visible in my mouth and I don't feel ill otherwise.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of sore throat along with soreness in neck, tongue and jaw which seems to be due to infection and swelling of lymph nodes. Need not to worry. You should take throat lozenges. Take proper course of antibiotics such as Levofloxain for 5 days. Visit ENT specialist once and get it examined and start treatment after proper prescription. Avoid intake of oily and fried food. Avoid cold carbonated beverages. You should maintain oral hygiene. Do warm saline gargles.

Hope your concern has been resolved.
