What Is The Treatment For Spinal Tuberculosis I Pine?
Sir, My Mother (age 58, weight 60,blood pressure from last 20 years,) Has Bone TV in Spinalcord ,AKT4 is a medicine For 3 monts daily(4 tbs.)has been priscribed and she has taken this medicine, now she is taking AKT2 .I Just want to take second openion in Pune please suggest me a experienced doctor.is this write medicine ,proper dose or not.
Normally accepted protocol for treating spinal cord TB is AKT4 for 2 months followed by AKT2. Total duration of treatment may be 6, 9, 12 0r 18 months depending on the condition of patient. However, some doctors advise an initial course of AKT4 for 3 months. As your mother has already taken the course of AKT4 for 3 months, now continuation phase with AKT2 seems alright. However, total duration of treatment will depend on the condition of your mother and this period should be determined by your doctor.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
