Hi,

That question is a tough one, especially without your medical file in front of me. Generally speaking a vast number of infections and disorders may cause an enlarged spleen, such as:
* Viral infections, such as mononucleosis
* Bacterial infections, such as syphilis or an infection of your heart's inner lining (endocarditis)
*Parasitic infections
* Cirrhosis and other diseases affecting the liver
* Various types of hemolytic anemia
* Blood cancers and myeloproliferative neoplasms, lymphomase
* Pressure on the veins in the spleen or liver or a blood clot in these veins etc.

As deeply sorry but this question is far to complex for a format like this (a public forum). Please see a specialist with all your medical files. That should take you to the answers you desperately need.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Alexander Davis, General & Family Physician
