What Is The Treatment For Sprained Knee After Injury?

My 16 year Old daughter sprained her knee & tore a muscle in it about 3 years ago. She fell on it about 25 minutes ago, and now it s swollen & slightly bruised. We have no way if getting her the doctor or hospital. What could be wrong? What should we do to care for her the best we can?

Hello,

For now, stabilize the knee in the crepe bandage or knee brace. Use hot water fermentation and keep the leg elevated.

Wait for 2-3 days for pain to come down. Once it comes down then start with static hamstring and static quadriceps along with straight leg raise and ankle toe movements.

Do this exercise for both the legs. Continue this for up to 3-4 weeks. She should do well.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
