My left neck gland has become swollen rather fast in the last 8 hours. I have no flu like sypmtoms. I have no mucus or any "coldlike syptoms. My temperature is 96.8. the only thing I did different today was that I had to sweepa dn mop the foyer of the retail store I work in, so I could have inhaled major germs, yet my right neck gland is fine. The entire region really hurts right below the left jaw bone.
Hi. You have got a gland that swell in 8 hours and is painful. The location of below left jaw bone makes me think about the swelling of the submandibular salivary gland. The reason is usually due to obstruction to the outflow of saliva. I would advise you to see en ENT surgeon to make sure the diagnosis and the reason behind this. There looks to be no relation to the work you did or the germs you suspect. You may be advised to go for an ultrasonography or CT scan of the area.
