What Is The Treatment For The Swelling And Pain On Lips Due To Pimple?
My 16 yr old had what he thought was a pimple on the bottom edge of his lip last night, so he popped it to get the puss out( wasnt much). This morning hos lip is extremely swollen and very sore to the touch, no puss is visible though. What can we do to help with pain and bring down swelling?

As per your query you have swelling and pain on lips due to pimple which occurs whens skin pores becomes clogged and it is due to dehydration and excessive licking of lips. I would suggest you to apply aloe vera gel. Apply petroleum jelly on lips. You should apply azelaic acid containing cream twice a day. If condition doesn't start getting better in a month then consult dermatologist Doctor may prescribe antibiotics course as you are not getting benefited with laser therapy. Drink 8-9 glasses of water daily and add fresh fruits and vegetables to your diet. Oral retinoids are one of the most effective medication for pimples.
