hi I have just recently got swollen tonsils that are red with white spots, also on one side of my mouth seems to be a blister on the side of my throat. I have just recently split with my ex how was seeing someone else, is there any chance I have caught something.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of swollen tonsils that are red with white spots. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like tonsillitis , viral pharyngitis, inadequate oral hygiene, mononucleosis or tonsil stones. Need not to worry. You should avoid intake of cold carbonated beverages and avoid intake of spicy, sharp and fried food substances. I would suggest you to do warm saline gargles thrice a day and suck on sugar free lemon candy . Consult ENT specialist for proper examination . Doctor may prescribe antibacterial or antiviral depending upon the diagnosis along with anti inflammatory. Doctor may also recommend tonsillectomy , coblation cryptolysis or laser tonsil cryptolysis .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
