What Is The Treatment For The Weakness In Legs And Vertigo?

Hi my mom is taking TB medications. The course is about to get completed. SOme days back she had a stomach infection, where she was advised with some antibiotics, which she took and is well. However she feels too sleepy, suffers from vertigo(slight) and is unable to walk wthout support. Please let meknow the reason and what medicines should be given. She has no other problem. The BP is also in the range of 140/85.

Thanks for asking to HCM.I understand your concerns.Brief Answer: Tab.Stemetil and Vitamin B6 supplement
Detailed answer:
According to me,reason for leg weakness and vertigo might be due to TB medication toxicity (probably isoniazid) which could be due to interaction with antibiotics prescribed for stomach infection.I would suggest my patients with vertigo to take tab.Stemetil(Prochlorperazine).If I was your physician, would have also advised vitamin B complex(B6) supplements as it can improve neuromuscular weakness.I also advise to get opinion from your treating doctor and act accordingly.Hope I have answered your query. If further queries, wish to assist you.Take care.
