HI,I have been diagnosed with tinea amentecea a scalp infection.Had dandruff from almost 2 year and was applying halox and beta methazone and coal tar lotions which controlled a bit but didn't sure completely.Stopped using for about 2 mons now that as it contained steroids and now the scales have become thick and has caused tinea amentecea.Now the doc had put me on antifungal and antibiotics and have been moisting the scalp with water to loosen and using omnabet shampoo and apply betmethasole S. scales have loosed up a bit but mot much improvement.Not sure if the treatment is going in the right direction or should I do any scalp analysis?
