What Is The Treatment For Urinary Incontinence After Delivery?
i am a 42 yr old female suffering from urinary incontinence. i have had 2 vaginal births and a c-section with my third child. it just started happening about 6 months ago. i do the kegels but its not helping. i feel like everything has dropped inside. i have read on other sites that abdominoplasty can help. is this true and also will insurance cover if medically necessary?
well incontinence is of three types...stress incontinence, mixed incontinence and overactive bladder. in stress --whenever you cough or sneeze the urine spurts out inspite of trying to hold it. in overactive bladder, its because of detrusor instability, where urgency is the main feature and you cant hold the urine at all even minimum amounts, and mixed has features of both. the best way to distinguish between both is the URODYNAMIC STUDIES. for SUI treatment is a sling operation by TVTO and for overactive bladder there bladder training and medicines. so first get urodynamic studies done . regards
