What Is The Treatment For Urinary Tract Infection?
My mom is 77. On 11/20 she had her right knee replaced. on 11/26 she was admitted to hospital with UTI and released on 11/29 with 10 day Bactrim. Week of 12/15, UTI symptoms reappeared. Dr prescribed 10 day Bactrim. UTI symptoms back again and 1/30 rec d another prescription, which shefinished the 10 day Bactrim yesterday. Symptoms are still present. She is very confused - insisting TV is talking about her and to her. I ve called her primary to get urologist - until then - what can we do?
She might be suffering from recurrent UTI (Urinary Infection) or some other infection of urinary system. It is should be diagnosed early by some investigations. First of all check her morning’s first Urine – R. & M. And urine test for culture & sensitive, both in pathology lab. Also go for blood sugar investigations- FBS, PPBS, HbA1C.
Please share these reports on healthcare magic for proper diagnosis and treatment. By that time, you should start maximum water intake to her. You can also start 1 liquid Cital, 7.5 ml, diluted in 1 glass of water, 2 times in a day, at the interval of 12 hours.(if no allergy of this type of medicine).
