What Is The Treatment For Urinary Tract Infection?

Hi I ve been suffering with UTI s for nearly 20 years but recently they be been more frequent and I ve noticed they pretty much always come on after sex. They last for 2-3 weeks and I suffer with burning as high up as cervix, whether I wee or not. I use everything from pessaries to cream to sodium citrate, gallons of water and cranberry juice and nothing works. I don t have itching, spots or weird discharge normally until this time when I had new flesh like discharge. Can you advise please?

Hi thanks for contacting HCM...

According to history you can have pelvic inflammatory disease or cystitis like infection.....

Get your urine routine Micro examination and USG abdomen first as primary work up....

Your pelvic examination also done along with per speculum examination ...

If needed urine culture done for choosing antibiotic ....

If needed and USG shows bladder lesion than cystoscopy and subsequent biopsy done for further work up ...

Clean genitals with soap and water after sex ....
Rule out diabetis as it can lead recurrent UTI ....

Consult gynecologist for your case. .
