What Is The Treatment For Vomiting And Burning Sensation In The Throat?

So, this is a strange question--at least to me, but the last two times I ve eaten red meat I ve suddenly become sick about six to nine hours later. By sick I mean suddenly waking up vomiting leaving a painful burning sensation in my throat and sudden bouts of diarrhea lasting a day or more. The meat, by the way, was very lean. I am female, age 59, grossly overweight (about 100 pounds over). Other symptoms prior to this are swollen legs, tiredness, shortness of breath and mild chest pain.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I read carefully your query and understand your concern.

Your symptoms seem to be related to a food poisoning.
I suggest to drink liquids and electrolyte solution such as Pedialyte.
I also suggest to eat a plain diet, in small amounts frequently.
If the vomiting and diarrhoea continue, I suggest to go at the emergency room.

Hope my answer was helpful.

If you have further queries feel free to contact me again.

Kind regards!
