What Is The Treatment For Weiss Ring Floaters In The Left Eye?

I am 63 and recently developed a weiss ring floater in the left eye. Yesterday one appeared in the right eye as well. I am a literature teacher in an international school. Is there treatment for this as it bothers me to do the hours of reading and grading I do each day?

Ophthalmologist 's  Response
Weiss ring appears due to detachment of vitreous from optic nerve head. Posterior vitreous detachment is common with aging.

Consult ophthalmologist for evaluation of extent of detachment and any associated retinal lesion.

If it is only Vitreous detachment, weiss ring can be lysed with LASER which is most safe option.

If there are associated retinal lesion vitrectomy may be advised by retinal surgeons.
