What Is The Treatment For Yellowish Discharge From Left Eye Of A 3 Month Old Baby?
Hi, my 3 month old baby has some yellowish discharge from his left eye. I t was getting better a month and a half ago but got worse while on holiday. i have applied some "serum physiologique" while in France and some cream but it only got a bit better. What can I do to make it go Thanks
Usually eye discharge happens because the duct connecting the eyes and the nose gets blocked. When secondary infection happens in the blocked duct, yellowish discharge happens. What is needed is an antibiotic drops like Tobramycin thrice a day for a week.
Along with this massage has to be done on the duct area- between the inner corner of the eyes and nose. Massage has to be done with firm pressure with one finger frequently in a day. This has to be done for few weeks atleast to relieve the blockade.
