Psoriasis is an autoimmune skin disease of unknown cause. Psychological factors like anxiety, tension, depression, worries...etc might exacerbate the condition. Bad habits like smoking, alcohol, tobacco may worsen the condition. So, not only the proper treatment is required, but a change in lifestyle is also required. And you should be aware of the factors which exacerbate or worsen the condition. So, discuss with your dermatologist about the disease and get knowledge about the treatment and steps to take to improve the condition. You should also remember that the psoriasis is a controllable skin disease ... so treatment should be considered for a longer period.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
