What Is The Treatment Of Sore On Ankle And Leg ?

My husband has a sore on his ankle and front of his leg. Both are painful to touch. I asked him if he was bit by something, and he is not sure- he just started scratching at first. There is redness around them and in the middle is kind of yellow looking, but just round the yellow is very re I wish I could post a pic of it. ... Its cry, not draining. Thanks!
