There are different possible causes of throat pain. The most common cause is infection (usually viral though bacterial infection can occur as well).
Other causes are trauma, sinusitis, gastroesophageal reflux, cancer.
You may want to consider observing the pain for a few more days. It is possible that it may be related to infection and will resolve.
If it continues or worsens then you may want to consider visiting your doctor for an assessment.
