What Is The Trouble In Breathing And High BP In Spite Of Discontinuing Medication?

I started Zoloft about 2 weeks ago and stopped it because I thought I was having an allergic reaction and my Dr. suggested I stop as well. It's been a week since I stopped and I am still having problems breathing, pressure on the roof of my mouth and it feels like my eart is beating in my throat. I took my blood pressure and it's 178/124. Can this be an allergic reaction a week later or is there deffinatley something wrong? I have thought about going to the ER several times this weekend but trying to make it to tomorrow to get into see the DR.
