You have ischemic heart disease, which caused by atherosclerosis. Coronary artery narrowing and blockages are consequences of the disease. If we put stents we restore the vessel lumen size and heart muscle blood supply. But we don't treat disease. It means after angioplasty you still need to take your medication, control cholesterol level and follow healthy lifestyle for preventing progress of atherosclerosic disease and further narrowing and blockage of vessels.
Hope I could help you
Wish you good health
Regards, Dr. Baghdasaryan
