What Is The Use Of Taking Posnor Medicine?

i ll be meeting my boyfriend on july this yer. Because we are not yet ready, he was suggesting me to take POSNOR2 for precaution. and he said he both me 2 tablet already. this is my first time to hear about this so i check it here. what is this all about and how and when to take this posnor2? thanks a lot!

Hi,

It is an emergency contraceptive pill which is used to prevent an unwanted pregnancy following an unprotected sex or if a contraceptive method has failed.

Each pack contains two round, white tablets. Each tablet contains 750 micrograms of levonorgestrel, which is the active ingredient. First tablet should be taken within 72 hours of having unprotected sex it will be more effective if taken as soon as possible after unprotected sex. The second tablet should be taken 12 hours after the first.
