What is the usual treatment for cysts on the retina? I am 69 years old and have recently had cataract surgery on my right eye. When I wasn't seeing as well as dr thought I should be (20/30), further examination showed that there were cysts on the retinas of both eyes. Second surgery has been canceled and I have an appointment to a retina specialist on

Monday. What should I expect?

you have rightly taken appointment of retina surgeon. for cyst in retina the location is required. since it has effected your vision, it appears Tobe near macula. so treatment option are limited. what ever is to be done it is only laser application.
