What Is The White Discoloration Of My Injured Nail?

I smashed my nail on car door 3/4 of it it turnee black in 5 sec the next day i went to the plastic surgeon the next day and had 5 holes burned through then steiched the nail so the bed can heal , had the stich for 2 weeks then after 3 weeks my nail is turning white.

Thanks for the post.
Your nail bed injury might be severe enough to compromise the blood circulation in the nail bed.
The nail might fall off if it has turned white. But, you need not worry as a new nail will grow if the nail matrix is intact.
It is good that you have consulted a plastic surgeon for it for the early care.
