What Is The White Spot In My Nose With Bright Red Discharge?
I have had very thick, solid mucus with bright red blood and dried blood mixed in. I looked in my nose with a magnifying light and saw a white spot - looks like a puss pocket. I am not conjested. I don t feel bad...just this wierd nasal discharge. What s up?
The most probable causes I can think about are as follows: - White spot may be due to a polyp - Granuloma - Hypertrophied turbinate with some wound - The infection might have caused scab formation - Separation of scab partially can cause bleeding with resultant dried blood and also fresh blood
I would advise you the following in such a situation. It is better not to try anything at home. An opinion of an ENT surgeon with endoscopy will help a proper diagnosis. Additional information by CT scan and tests of blood can help to finalise the diagnosis. All this will give a plan for a great management.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
