What Is The Window Period To Confirm That I Am HIV Negative?
Hi Doctor I had sex with a CSW in Phuket on 5th October with Protection, But am scared on contracting hIV as I have had throat issues since last 1 Week, I git my HIv 1 & Elisa combo Test on the 25th of October 19 Days after my episode and it Came Negative for Ab and Ag..... I want to know with the new combo Ag/Ab test (HIv 1 & 2 Elisa ) what will be the window period to fully conclude I am not HIV ..I am planing to get one test done tomm again on the 11th of NOv that will make it 5 weeks + ...Please advice

You are doing correct thing -getting tested -this way you will gain correct information about HIV. If you had protected sex and the condom was worn correctly and did not get torn during the activity ,then your fears are unwarranted In all practicality you are negative.
