What Is Trodat Scan And Why Is This Test Required?
I was diagonised with Parkinson in 2008. Presently I am taking 5 Syndopa Plus and 3 Syndopa CR (125 mg) daily. The combined effect of both medications hardly last for 2 hours after which I have to pop in medication again. Feling frustrated with the short term effect of medications, I took second opinion. A Neurologist suggested me to go in for D - Dopa Pet Scan. Unfortunately nobody in India conducts D - Dopa Pet Scan. The same Neurologist now suggests Trodat Scan. KIndly explain what is Trodat scan and why is this test required Aspi K Press

I really appreciate your concern, what exactly benefit you are going to have by doing these test, I think just nothing your clinical sing and symptoms will remained as it is even after performing these test, more over as the test are complicated and sophisticated the reporting equally demands high skill for interpretation of end result, in Parkinson disease combination of drugs needed for better symptomatic result, and dosage of these drugs required to be increased time to time, increase the dose and you will get the good result, hope this information helps you have nice day.

The D-Dopa pet scan is an advanced scan to study the increase of the parkinsons disease process, and to evaluate the drugs to be prescribed.
Of course if some one do it you can get it done,and have the opinion of your doctor.
If you cant get it done,ask your doctor for olden gold drugs phenergan and pacitane, which may work well for you.
Take more of green leafy vegetables,pulses,sprouts,and protein rich foods to have blood,general health and resistance against infections.
