What Kind Of Hormonal Imbalances Are Caused By Bartter Syndrome?
I have a condition known as Barrters Syndrome and I want to know what kind of hormonal imbalances it causes. I was reading about Kleinfelter's Syndrome and I feel I may have it too but haven't been diagnosed. So I wanted to know whether Barrters Syndrome causes my hormonal imbalances or if I might actually have Kleinfelter's?
Hi thanks for asking question. Barter syndrome affect kidney tubule. In this syndrome mostly renin and aldosterone get elevated. I twill mostly lead to polyuria, polydipsis, nephrocalcinosis, hypercalciuria, hypokelemia etc. Besides aldosterone no any other hormone get elevated in this case. So dont worry. If you still have doubt regarding klienfelter syndrome genetic study can be done with PCR OR FISH to detect mutation specific to it. Thanks.I hope you understand my concern.

Patient also complaining polyuria, polydypsis, hypercalciuria, nephrocalcinosis etc. Besides that no other hormonal imbalance. Klienfelter and barter syndrome are totally different. But if you still have doubt you can do your chromosomal analysis or detection of mutation by PCR. I hope my suggestion will help you. Thanks.
