Dietitian & Nutritionist 's  Response
Welcome to HCM,
I see you live in the State of Florida, a highly regulated state in the U.S for providing nutritional advice. Such advice is only allowed to be dispensed by a Registered and Licensed Dietitian in your state. You may find one close to you by searching for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. They have a list of licensed dietitians close to your zip code.

In general, and speaking for all Dietitians, a supplement program should always be individually tailored to the individual's own biochemical needs as determined by a complete nutritional assessment inclusive of a drug-nutrient interaction review, an analysis of current dietary intake to see which nutrients you are chronically low in and then to consider laboratory values and any chronic illnesses that may impact on your need for more or less of certain nutrients.

Nutritional medicine is very complicated and specialized. For example, if one supplements with coenzyme Q10 and this person is a vegetarian, a carnitine deficiency may very well develop.

My best wishes to you . . .Regards, Kathryn J. Shattler, MS,RDN
