Hi I have a question. I had a baby almost 3 months ago and I came on my period earlier this month already and I am bleeding again I seen a little blood when I went to the bathroom one time and the second time I seen a little more blood and I m starting to cramp a little. What does this mean?
Hi. I've gone through your query and I can understand your anxiety.
From the history I'm arriving at a conclusion you are having "Irregular postpartum periods". After giving birth, its usual to have irregular periods, peven who do not breastfeeding too won't get regular cycle. This is because the hormonal changes that occurs during pregnancy and childbirth.
Cycle will be irregular like it might last for 24 days, the next one upto 28 days, and then another one might be 35 days. So over time, menstruation will return to its usual pattern.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Take care.
Regards, Dr. Yogapriya V, General and family physician.
