What Makes A 5 Year Old To Walk On The Toes?

My son is 5 years old and enjoys walking on his toes. My wife and I has donê everything possible to make hím walk normally. THE funny thing is that in his subconscious mind, he believes he has his feet on the FLoor and is always quick to revert to the toes anytime we berate hím. THE question is what can be donê to correct this? Can his development be affected psychologically due to walking on his toes. ? Thanks Yomi

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,
According to me, most of the development of your child is done. What I mean is the developmental milestones are reached,so no worries on that front. What I don't understand is , has this been always a concern since he started to walk or is this happening now. Has the kids development been assessed? If not and if you find any abnormalities as compared to the kids peer group then you must get back to your doctor.
Take care.
