What Makes My Knee Cap Suddenly Collapses And Twists To The Side?
Hello, I am a 17 year old female. Throughout the last years of my life, I have experienced frequent (monthly) experiences in which my knee cap suddenly collapses and twists to the side. The cap always pops back a couple of seconds later, and although it is extremely painful, I am perfectly fine after minutes of the incident. However, a couple of days ago, my cap collapsed and remained dislocated for a couple more seconds than usual. After this incident, my knee has swollen and is very painful. What s happening? Will these occurrences become more frequent and serious?

You are having recurrent sublaxation/dislocation of patella. As you already had many episodes it will progress. you need to see some knee specialist to ascertain specific cause for your problem and manage accordingly.
