Hi,
I have gone through your query and i can understand your anxiety.

Doing a HPT during your menstrual cycle can result in a false-positive test results. If incase you are pregnant & when it is followed by a incomplete miscarriage, tissues from the pregnancy in the uterus that continues producing hCG which might result in false positive results.
Also false positives might be due to,
- Expired pregnancy test
- Certain drug
- ectopic pregnancy etc

Hope i have answered your query. Let me know if i can assist you further.
