What Medical Condition Could Cause Severe Headaches, Cold Sweats And Blurred Vision?

Hi, My teen daughter suffers of severe head aches, cold sweats and numbing of the face occasionally as well as blurry vision. Her doctor has attributed these symptoms to migraines however they have not gone away and have decreased very little with medication. could it be something else?

Hi,

The symptoms are consistent with common causes like migraine or tension headache, as a first line management you can try analgesics like Aceclofenac or Tramadol for pain relief. If symptoms persist, better to consult a neurologist and plan for an MRI brain to rule out possible intracranial (inside the brain) causes.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Wishing you all the best.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
