What Medication Has To Be Given To Child With Cold, Cough?

My son is 2.1 year old.. He weighs about 10 kgs.. He has had cold since past 3 days..his nose is slightly blocked and not that runny.. Last night he started coughing A LOT.. Poor lad was really uncomfortable.. What can I give him to subside his cough???

Hi...Thank you for consulting in Health Care magic. You can give Cetrizine oral syrup for his cold around 5ml (strength 5mg/5ml) once a day for 3 days. For fever Paracetamol can be given as Syrup P- 125 (125mg/5ml) at 5ml every 4-6th hourly if fever is > 101 F. Hope my answer was helpful for you. I am happy to help any time.
