What Medication Should Be Given To A 5-year-old For Treating Small White Bumps In The Abdomen?

5 yr old healthy child. Small white bumps on abdomen for several months. One developed into a whitehead, red and tender. It was popped and reappeared within a few hours. No itching. Now more small areas have popped up to legs and and arms. All of these are very small and white. Anti biotic on whitehead. No change noted. It is not a wart.

Pediatrician, Pulmonology 's  Response
Hi,

When the skin redness is appearing within few hours then I do not think we need to consider warts here and I would suggest that you give him over the counter available antihistamine like Benadryl as I feel this could be an allergic reaction. But the best way will be to upload an image here so that we will be able to guide you better.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
