What Medication Should Be Taken To Cure Pain From Mucoid Cyst?

I have a Mucoid cyst on my right middle finger/first joint. Went to dermatologist she injected something PAINFUL into it made it much worse then got better. Now it has come back and hurts again. She said I could get another injection of stronger Painful stuff or have it removed. Not sure what is recommended ~thanks!

Hi,

Probably you may be having myxoid cyst. Your doctor would have given steroid injection in the cyst. That might have lead secondary infection causing pain. Take a course of of antibiotics and anti-inflammatory drugs. After recovery of infection,it may surgically removed by general surgeon under local anesthesia.

Hi,

I think you should get it removed surgically to avoid recurrence. With injection it won’t go off permanently.
