What Medicines Are Prescribed In UTI ?
hi Dr. Grief, im 26weeks pregnant right now and i did undergo urinalysis last week and my OB-GYNE told me that I have UTI.. (results: pus cells-is 7-10/hpf) Do i really need to take cefalexin as what my OB advised? Pls help, til now Im not taking it, im hesitant that might affect my baby.

If you have UTI,it should be treated especially in pregnancy since there is higher risk from uroinfection for baby than from antibiotic intake. So you need to follow doctors recommendation. Wish you good health. Regards
