What Might Be The Rash Which Is Irritating And Has Clear Runny Nose And Fever Which Has Not Subsided Even After Taking Antifungal Treatment?
My son is 14 moths. He has irritation and fungal looking rash on his bottom, which isn't getting better. I have tried from vaseline to antifungal ... Horrible red rash... clear runny nose and a lot of drainage... off and on low grade fevers ... what's going on?

The rash is the perineum is due to stool and urine induced dermatitis.
Local application of barrier protective agent like Siloderm ointment will be beneficial. Alternatively application of egg white will also be helpful
