What Precautions Need To Be Taken For Controlling CPK In Blood?
My Sister-in -law recently having test of CPK In Blood & its more than 2000. before 4 years the same test was shawing 3500. on that time she was suffering from dermetomyosytis.... so my question is what precaution she must take to control her CPK in Blood ?
CPK is creatine phosphokinase and it is byproduct of muscle catabolism or destruction. Since you are suffering from dermatomyositis muscle destruction and inflammation leads to increased production of CPK.
Previously it was 3500 and now it's reduced to 2000 which indicates control of dermatomyositis and less muscle inflammation. CPK level will become normal once your skin condition is under control. Consult skin specialist for proper treatment of dermatomyositis.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
