Hello,
I have gone through your query and understood the concern. If you have had the surgery through a laparotomy, you should avoid excess strain on the abdomen for at least six weeks. Wound strength recovers by six months, but for achieving near normal strength, it takes two years. You can tone up the abdominal muscles under the guidance of your doctor during this period. So, for the time being, put off sweeping and mopping. Hope your query has been clarified. Take care.
